June 17, 2010 - Emily was invited to perform in NYC at a benefit dinner for The After-School All Stars, an organization founded by Governor Arnold Schwartzenegger to provide free comprehensive after-school programs to nearly 80,000 children in need on over 450 school sites in 13 different cities from NYC to Hawaii. May 23, 2010 - Young Steinway Concert Series
Emily will perform at the 28th Annual Young Steinway Concert at the Skokie Public Library's Petty Auditorium on May 23, 2010. For twenty-seven years, the concerts have showcased young people with extraordinary talent, giving local audiences the chance to enjoy first-class music close to home. It was only one year ago that Miss Emily Bear made her musical debut at the 2007 MIC Gala - A Musical Legacy, honoring her teacher Emilio del Rosario and his teacher Leon Fleisher.  Emily Bear was honored to perform at the McDonald's 2008 World Convention with members of the Orlando Symphony Orchestra. A special orchestral arrangement of "The Love In Us" was created for this event. See the video of "The Love In Us" here.
March 24, 2008 - Emily performs at White House!
 Emily Bear was honored to perform a 30 minute concert Monday at the White House. She played a mixture of jazz and original compositions for about 300 guests at a private breakfast hosted by President and Mrs. Bush before the annual traditional Easter Egg Roll. Emily performed a 30 minute concert on January 18, 2008 at the Gene Siskel Film Center - Chicago, IL at the screening of the new documentary film "Note By Note: The Making of Steinway L1037". This award winning film, directed by Ben Niles documents the creation of Steinway Piano L1037 from forest floor to the concert hall.  Emily opened the Chicago McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade - November 22, 2007, with a performance of her original composition "Waterlights" while 6 figure skaters skate to her music at the Millenium Park Ice Rink. The parade aired nationally on Superstation WGN, Thanksgiving morning from 9AM to 11AM Central Time. The estimated number of viewers is 1.5 million people. Click here for Parade Information.
